Apple Charlotte
Description
A very tasty vanilla apple Charlotte - lush, juicy, tender, with a thin crispy crust. A simple recipe that yields a fragrant apple Charlotte from common ingredients. The excellent tested dough with the addition of sour cream makes the pie simply fabulous, and you can use it as a base and add pears or other fruits and berries to your liking. If you don't like vanilla, simply omit it. After baking, the finished Charlotte should stand, cool, and rest a bit before you can cut and enjoy this delicious baked treat.
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Cream the softened butter with sugar.
-
Beat the eggs into the butter-sugar mixture and mix well.
-
Sift the flour and baking powder into the mixture. Add the vanilla. Stir the batter with a spoon or fork until you have a soft and smooth batter for the charlotte.
-
Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes. The charlotte loves apples, so don't be stingy with them!
-
Place the apples in the batter and mix.
-
Grease the baking dish (I have a 20 cm diameter dish) with oil, both the bottom and sides.
Spread all the batter, leveling the top.
Place it in a preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius and bake for approximately 50 minutes. Sometimes it may take a bit more or less time, so keep an eye on your oven.
The finished apple pie should be golden brown and well-baked. You can check for doneness with a toothpick. If it comes out dry and clean after inserting it into the pie, then the pie is ready.
-
For serving, you can dust it with powdered sugar.
-
This is the perfect apple Charlotte, a favorite recipe for the family.
