Description

Quick, simple, and very tasty fish soup with saira fish and rice – a flavor familiar from childhood! If you haven't cooked or tasted fish soups with canned fish, I recommend trying it; it's a wonderful budget-friendly recipe with readily available ingredients.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Sauté finely chopped onion in a saucepan, then add grated carrot and sauté them together until the carrot becomes tender.

  2. Add paprika, a bit of salt, and pepper. You can adjust the salt and pepper to taste later, towards the end, as you bring the soup to its desired flavor.

  3. Pour in the water.

  4. Immediately add the rinsed rice and diced potatoes to the pot.

  5. Bring it to a boil, cover with a lid, and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.

  6. Then add the saira fish to the soup, and with a spoon, break it into pieces.

  7. Add the bay leaf and simmer for another 5 minutes on low heat, keeping the lid closed.

  8. Sprinkle the canned fish soup with finely chopped greens, and the dish is ready to serve. Enjoy!
