Cheese Pie with Three Types of Cheese - airy, soft, with a delicious crust, and a rich cheese flavor. This homemade pastry is very easy to prepare. You can serve this snack pie as a bread substitute, use it as a standalone snack, take it to work, or on a picnic. You can choose different cheeses according to your preferences to change the flavor profile. In our recipe, we use Maasdam, mozzarella, and feta cheese.

  1. You need to slightly warm the milk and dissolve the dry yeast in it.

  2. Once the yeast is dissolved, add the salt, sugar, oil, and beat in 1 egg. Mix well.

  3. Add the sifted 300 g of wheat flour.

  4. The dough turns out to be sticky and liquid. If it's too runny, add more flour.

  5. Cover with plastic wrap, a lid, or a cloth. Allow it to rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

  6. For the filling, use three types of cheese: mozzarella, feta, and semi-hard cheese. You can choose any semi-hard cheese according to your preference.

  7. Grate mozzarella and semi-hard cheese using a large grater.

  8. Crumble the feta cheese with a fork.

  9. Combine all three types of cheese and mix them thoroughly. Divide the resulting filling into two parts. Form one part into a ball.

  10. The dough has risen and increased in size.

  11. We generously sprinkle the working surface with flour. Place the dough, which is still sticky and loose, and sprinkle some flour on top of it.

  12. Knead the dough a bit and form it into a round flat cake. Place one part of the filling in the center of the cake.

  13. Pinch the edges of the dough together from all sides to enclose the filling.

  14. And once again, shape it into a round loaf with the cheese filling enclosed.

  15. Grease the baking dish with butter and place the cheese pie inside. Use your hands to spread the dough evenly to fit the shape of the dish.

    The diameter of the dish should be 24 cm.

  16. Brush the surface with the yolk mixed with 1 tbsp of water.

  17. Spread the remaining cheese evenly on top. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

  18. The pie is ready when it has risen and turned golden brown.

  19. The cheese pie turns out soft, airy, and very delicious. Enjoy!
