Ingredients
Instructions
-
You need to thaw the yeast-free puff pastry dough and then divide it into 4 equal parts.
-
Grease a baking sheet with oil and place 2 layers of pastry on it. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius and bake the layers for 20-25 minutes. Repeat this process with the other 2 layers.
-
Divide the prepared layers into 3 equal parts. Take a small piece from the top and bottom of each layer.
-
Crumble the small pieces with your hands.
-
Now let's work on the custard cream. Bring 1 liter of milk to a boil.
-
In a separate bowl, combine the remaining 200 ml of milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, and flour. Whisk them together until smooth and free of lumps.
-
Pour this mixture into the boiling milk while constantly stirring until the custard thickens and comes to a boil.
-
Allow the custard cream to cool, and then you can start assembling the cake. Generously spread the cream on all sides of the layers.
-
Spread cream on the top layer and its sides as well. Sprinkle the crumbled pastry crumbs on all sides. Place the assembled cake in the refrigerator. It should soak well, so leave it there for 12 hours.
-
The Napoleon cake with puff pastry and custard cream is ready. Enjoy your tea!
