Ingredients
Instructions
-
Start by mixing all the dry ingredients.
In a deep bowl, sift the flour, add the dry yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix everything together.
-
Pour in the warm water and oil. The water should be lukewarm, not hot.
-
Knead the dough. It should be soft but hold its shape, not sticking to your hands or the bowl. The exact amount of water may vary depending on the type of flour you use, so the dough might need slightly more or less water. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
-
During this time, you should gently knead the dough in the bowl a few times and then cover it again to let it rise.
-
The dough has risen nicely.
-
Dust your work surface with flour, place the dough on it, and shape it into a ball.
-
Divide the dough into two equal parts.
-
Roll each part slightly from both sides.
-
Fold the edges from all sides to the center, then pinch the gathered edges in the center.
-
Turn it over and shape it with your hands into a circle.
-
Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover it with a kitchen towel and let it rest for approximately another 30 minutes.
-
Bake it in a preheated oven for 50-55 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
-
Let the finished bread cool on a wire rack.
-
"Palyanitsa" turns out with a crispy crust and a soft interior. This is a very tasty homemade bread!
