Plum Crumble following Nigel Slater’s recipe
Description
In the plum season, we suggest making a simple and fragrant British dessert, a plum crumble based on Nigel Slater's recipe. I added cinnamon, which fits perfectly into the recipe.
Ingredients
Instructions
-
The butter should be cold, and you can use brown sugar.
-
Cut the plums into quarters.
-
Grease the dish with clotted cream and place the plums in it.
-
Sprinkle 100 g of sugar, and mix. If the plums are sour, I recommend adding a bit more sugar.
-
Sift the flour, add 100 g of sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well.
-
Cut the cooled butter into small pieces.
-
Rub it into breadcrumbs with your hands. Add one tablespoon of water at a time until it forms a crumbly dough.
-
Cover the surface of the plums evenly with the crumbly dough and bake in a preheated 180-degree Celsius oven for 40 minutes.
-
The plum juice should come to a boil, and the dough should turn golden brown.
-
The aromatic plum crumble is ready – the most delicious seasonal dessert!
-
You can serve it by dusting it with powdered sugar.
-
Or in a small bowl, in small portions. Enjoy!
