Potato pancakes
Description
Potato pancakes or "draniki" - call them what you like, but they are a very tasty dish that can be served with meat, vegetables, mushrooms, or just with sour cream. They are very easy to cook, and even faster if you have a blender.
Ingredients
Instructions
-
You can grate the potatoes and onion using a grater, or for convenience, use a blender. In the first case, grate the onion first, then grate the potatoes finely and combine everything. This way, the potatoes won't darken.
-
If you have a blender (food processor, chopper, etc.), chop the potatoes and onion into pieces and blend everything together until there are no large chunks left, aiming for a uniform consistency. Drain off any excess liquid if possible.
-
To the blended potatoes and onion, add the egg, sift in the flour, add the pressed garlic, and salt. Season with pepper to taste.
-
Mix until smooth.
-
Pour oil onto a heated skillet. Spoon the mixture onto the skillet.
-
Fry until golden brown on both sides. Potato pancakes cook fairly quickly.
-
Serve the ready potato pancakes hot with sour cream. Enjoy your meal!
