Description

Potato pancakes or "draniki" - call them what you like, but they are a very tasty dish that can be served with meat, vegetables, mushrooms, or just with sour cream. They are very easy to cook, and even faster if you have a blender.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. You can grate the potatoes and onion using a grater, or for convenience, use a blender. In the first case, grate the onion first, then grate the potatoes finely and combine everything. This way, the potatoes won't darken.

  2. If you have a blender (food processor, chopper, etc.), chop the potatoes and onion into pieces and blend everything together until there are no large chunks left, aiming for a uniform consistency. Drain off any excess liquid if possible.

  3. To the blended potatoes and onion, add the egg, sift in the flour, add the pressed garlic, and salt. Season with pepper to taste.

  4. Mix until smooth.

  5. Pour oil onto a heated skillet. Spoon the mixture onto the skillet.

  6. Fry until golden brown on both sides. Potato pancakes cook fairly quickly.

  7. Serve the ready potato pancakes hot with sour cream. Enjoy your meal!
