Strawberry and cheese galette
Description
Strawberry and cheese galette on a cheese crust is incredibly delicious, tender, and juicy. This is a very simple open pie with a filling that can be easily recreated in any kitchen by any home cook. The galette is prepared quickly and easily, and the filling can be adapted based on your preferences and the availability of seasonal berries and fruits.

Place the cheese in a deep bowl. It shouldn't be too dry or too moist. For the specified amount of ingredients, cheese with medium moisture is suitable.

Add an egg to it and also add 1 tablespoon of sugar.

Mash it with a fork until the large cheese lumps disappear.

Now add the sifted flour and baking powder.

The dough should be soft and not sticky. Let the dough rest for about 10 minutes while you work on the filling.

Slice the strawberries into slices or halves, depending on the size of the berries.

Place the dough on a piece of parchment paper. Dust the parchment and the dough with some flour.

Roll out the dough directly on the parchment paper. Sprinkle it with cornstarch; this makes it easier and more even when rolling it out.

Place the sliced strawberries on the dough, leaving the edges free.

Sprinkle with cinnamon, but this is at your discretion.

Also, sprinkle with 1 tbsp of sugar and a packet of vanilla sugar (to taste).

We fold the edges as shown in the photo. Grease the edges with water. Transfer it directly with the parchment paper to a preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

The strawberry and cheese galette is ready. Let it cool completely before serving to enhance the flavors. If desired, you can dust the cooled galette with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
